Updatey things

Well, erm, yeah, nothing's really been happening of any interest so I've not been updating X__X I seem to have been terrifically busy, but not with anything fun X__X

Thank you so much to all of you who commented on my second-to-last post - I eventually got several extremely effusive apologies and some explanation, although it wasn't really a very good one, but I kind of let it slide, as you have to I guess :/

Astrid starts 'big school' on Thursday, so I've had to be off buying all her uniform, gym kit, lunch stuffs etc - I have like two days to sew 2347543785478 nametags into everything she owns XD She's only going for mornings until October, but still... *sigh* I dunno, I feel so proud that she's going up to school, but at the same time so worried for her, trying to fit into a new environment with totally new people and none of her old friends :( Not to mention the fact that I'm going to miss her really badly! I'm so used to having her with me pretty much 24/7 that having to leave her at school every day is going to be weird and kind of painful for both of us :(

In happier news, I'm getting one of kainoliero's Nom Nom jewellery range :D SO hard to choose which one I wanted - so tempted by Shrapnel and Polka, but in the end I decided on a Mini Cthulhu because it combines four of my very most favourite things - tentacles, cupcake, pearls and bows ♥ XDDD

Wow, that was a really dull update - sorry about that X__X XD

EDIT: and OMG, I forgot, I saw the new Grant Gee documentary about Joy Division and it blew my socks clean off XD I've watched it twice in one week and I'm wondering if I should make it a hat-trick XD

That jewelry really is NOM!
Well, not literally of course, but you know what I mean :)

I'm sure Astrid will make heaps of new friends the first hour she's in her new school :)
Hopefully with more considerate parents than those of the friends she has now too ;)

It's all so fab, I wish I could buy all of it! :DDD

Thanks so much for the reassurance hon *hugs* - I guess I'm just being Paranoid Parent, especially with her condition, and the fact that she never asks anyone their bloody name! XD I always say to her, "Did you talk to anyone at such-and-such-place today?" and she'll inevitably say yes, to which I'll say, "So what was his/her name?" to which I get, again inevitably, "I don't know! S/he was wearing glasses!" (or a scarf, or had red hair, or whatever) X___x *LOL* She had plenty of friends at pre-school but buggered if I knew what 3/4 of them were called XDDDD

Well a friend of mine has Aspergers too and he's in college getting along really well. I'm sure Astrid will do as well in school and make as many friends as him :)

Although you might have to ask parents "I'm sorry, could you please describe your child" when they ring and say "hello this is *insert name*'s mum" ;p

And let's face it, if that's the worse, then there's nothing bad at all :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2v4UwEiO-g - trailer, you really must see it! :D If you watch it in conjunction with Control, it really gives you such a complete picture of the band - truly awesome :D

And the pendants really are superb! I can't wait to get mine, Kainoliero rules, I want about 6 others as well as the one I ordered XD

I really, really need to try to get my hands on that documentary somehow. It's looks so beyond cool. Just the quotes about it being something they had to do because they had no other choice wah I need it...

Also I'm not surprised that you felt spoilt for choice on the pendants I was eyeing them up (which is so ridiculously pointless because I don't r wear jewellry) and I was all like oooh that one's pretty then I was like aaaah but this one is toooo.

Lol I was thinking if I was gonna get one I would go with the chocolate one but only because it's cheeeeepest. TRAMP!!

Oh, it's not hard to find - I got mine from play.com for £13, still a bit pricey although it *has* only just been released... I wish I had got to see it in the cinema, it was out in May but not round by me sadly :/

XD There's nothing wrong with picking the cheapest out of stuff, I do it all the time because I'd rather have something than nothing XD Is there a particular reason why you don't wear jewellery, if you don't mind my asking? I'm just being nosy curious 'cos I feel naked if I'm not wearing 3574574 bits of costume rubbish every single day XD

Ah I just get irritated by jewelry, especially rings and necklaces because I wear earrings and bracelets sometimes. They get caught on clothes and stop me moving my fingers normally and it irritates me, so I end up taking them off and then I don't put them away properly and loose them and it's all a bit redundant really.

It irritates me a bit that I'm like that because there are so many pretty pieces about that I'd like to wear.
